CFPs who get ICFE Certification

San Diego, CA - The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., has confirmed the acceptance of the ICFE's Certified Credit Report Reviewer Program for five (5) continuing education units (CEUs) for all Certified Financial Planners
(CFPs) who successfully complete the exclusive ICFE self-study program.

Professional organizations which recognize and accept the ICFE's Credit Report Reviewer Certification Program for continuing education units for their members are:

International Association of Registered Financial Consultants
(IARFC) 10 CEUs

Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE) 10 CEUs

National Association of Certified Credit Counselors
(NACCC) 8 CEUs

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards,
Inc. 5 CEUs

The Certified Credit Report Reviewer program was introduced in 2004 and the ICFE has now certified just over 1,000 individuals nationwide. Included with that number are military counselors and command financial specialists, approximately 350 counselors and loan officers from credit unions, plus loan officers from mortgage and loan companies and approximately 400 consumer credit and debt counselors.

The ICFE program which also provides an additional recognition as an Identity Theft Prevention Specialist was developed by the award winning ICFE after the Congress enacted the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) which, among many things, entitles consumers to a free credit report from each of the three major credit reporting agencies in the U. S. once a year.

Please share this important CEU information with your friends and peers who may be an AFCPE, a CFP, a RFC or an NACCC member.
